Batyko to lead 2009 leadership team

Cleveland PRSA chapter announces new board of directors for 2009

CLEVELAND – The Greater Cleveland chapter of the Public Relations Society of America today announced its Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 2009.

Serving as president will be Rick Batyko, vice president for regional marketing at the Greater Cleveland Partnership. Rounding out the Executive Committee are Joel Goldstein (president-elect), president, Goldstein Group Communications, Inc.; Kate Eidam (treasurer), senior account executive, Falls Communications; Emily Lauer (vice president, membership), vice president, Edward Howard; David Adams (secretary), assistant director, Ernst & Young; and Lisa Foster (vice president, programming), manager, corporate giving and public relations, Cleveland Zoological Society.

New directors include Kelly McGlumphy, account supervisor, Roop & Co. Public Relations and Erinne Dyer, assistant director of the Cleveland Clinic’s Public & Media Relations Department.

Incumbent board members include Kelly Banks, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; Janet Cannata, Cuyahoga Community College; Carrie Kandes, Marcus Thomas; Amy McGahan, Dix & Eaton; Brian Newbacher, AAA East Central; Tracy Oliver, Dominion East Ohio; Allen Pfenninger, Edward Howard; Tony Santana, PR Newswire; James Tabaczynski, The JPT Group, Inc.; and Emily Vincent, Landau Public Relations.

Chartered in 1947, the Public Relations Society of America is the world’s largest organization for public relations professionals. The Greater Cleveland Chapter of PRSA serves the needs of public relations professionals in Northeast Ohio. Affiliated with the East Central District of PRSA, the chapter consists of approximately 300 members.
