Roop Chairs Silver Anvils

Jim Roop, president of Roop & Co., has begun his second tour of duty as chair of PRSA’s Silver Anvil subcommittee.  He last chaired it in 1995 and was chair of the Honors & Awards committee the following year.

While he will be serving for the full year, Jim reports that “most of the heavy lifting is done in March, when Silver Anvils are judged.”  Subsequent to judging, the subcommittee typically “tweaks” categories of entries depending on responses by members, number of entries in individual categories, and other factors.  

Jim has supervised eight Silver Anvil winning programs during his career.
