Nyorkor has appeared on national shows Fatal Attraction & For My Man on TV One, Snapped on Oxygen & See No Evil on ID channel and the Crime Stories with Nancy Grace podcast.  Sia holds a Bachelor of Arts Journalism from Indiana University's Ernie Pyle School of Journalism and a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University in the City of New York. Her master's thesis was an award-winning documentary film about a Harlem muralist that broadcast on public television stations across the nation. Active with the National Association of Black Journalists, Nyorkor serves as Parliamentarian & mentor to young journalists. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serving as Co-Chair of the Arts & Letters Committee. Nyorkor is a parishioner at Church of St. Dominic in Shaker Heights & volunteers at St. Augustine Hunger Center where she was honored with a Community Service Award for feeding the hungry. Cleveland Magazine selected Nyorkor as one of the “Most Interesting People” to know in 2024, “the movers, shakers & doers making a difference." She says the most common question she receives is about her name, which hails from Liberia, West Africa. Sia means first daughter of the father and Nyorkor means fierce warrior in her father's tribe, Kissi. A novice shutterbug, Sia enjoys volunteering, exploring new places, listening to live music, cooking, reading, and meeting new people.
