Grad School while working full-time: How to find the balance
One of the best investments you can make in your personal and professional development is continuous learning, particularly the pursuit of a graduate degree. While this has always been true, the rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence has made clear that ongoing education will be a necessity. Given that many of us have full-time jobs, the prospect of going back to school raises an understandable question: how can you balance both work and graduate school without risking your sanity?
I pondered that very question when I decided to pursue an MBA in early 2026. Now eight months into the program, I have found four strategies particularly helpful in maintaining a healthy work-life-school balance.
